Center for Science in the Public Interest
The Center for Science in the Public Interest is a consumer advocacy organization that provides current, useful, information for health and overall wellbeing. CSPI also provides a newsletter, “Nutrition Action Health Letter” that provides information on nutrition and health. The Alcohol Policies Project helps focus public and policy maker attention on policy reforms to reduce the health and social consequences of drinking. Center for Substance Abuse Prevention
The Center for Substance Abuse Prevention works with states and communities to develop comprehensive prevention programs. Site contains information on grant/funding opportunities, prevention/education topics, and information on Synar Amendment, which requires states to have laws in place prohibiting the sale and distribution of tobacco products to persons under the age of 18.

The National Gains Center
As part of the US Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the GAINS center primary focus is on expanding access to community based services for adults diagnosed with a co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders at all points of contact with the justice system.
